Ole Miss vs Kentucky Wildcats

Released - 2/2/2010

Mississippi at Kentucky
Tuesday, 7:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

Kentucky may not be #1 anymore in the polls but they are still a very talented team that has only lost once this college basketball betting season. They should get a test on Tuesday as Mississippi comes to town.   The Rebels were ranked in the Top Twenty until losing to Arkansas on Sunday.  Murphy Holloway led Ole Miss with 19 points and a career-high 17 rebounds off the bench.

Kentucky is 10.5 point favorite at SBG Global.

Mississippi is not at full strength for this game and that is a concern for the Rebels.  Center Reggie Buckner is out with an ankle injury so Kentucky may be able to take advantage inside just as Arkansas did on Sunday. "We've got to come up with some kind of defensive scheme for Kentucky," Holloway said.

Freshman forward DeMarcus Cousins scored 21 points leading Kentucky to an 85-72 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday. It was the 12th double-double of the year for Cousins. Three other Wildcat starters were in double figures. One of the main stars for Kentucky this college basketball betting season has been John Wall. The freshman point guard is likely going to be the top pick in the NBA Draft in June.  As many as 25 NBA scouts have requested credentials for Tuesday’s game.  Wall has been struggling a little bit lately for the Wildcats. He has 20 turnovers in the last four games and has gone 18-for-46 from the field.  Head coach John Calipari has been getting on Wall about his play and it seems to be taking its toll.  “I didn't think I played that bad. I don't know what to expect. He's probably going to say I played bad today, too. I just try not to listen to him and go out and play basketball and try and help my team win,” Wall said.

The Rebels are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Rebels are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Tuesday games. The Rebels are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings at Kentucky.

The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. The Wildcats are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 vs. the SEC.

The Under is 4-1 in the Rebels last 5 overall. The Under is 10-4 in the Rebels last 14 road games. The Over is 7-1 in the Wildcats last 8 home games. The Over is 9-3 in the Wildcats last 12 overall.  The Under is 3-0-1 in the last 4 meetings in Kentucky.
