No. 6 Kansas State keeps rolling, downs Texas Tech

Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Jacob Pullen scored 28 points to lead No. 6 Kansas State to an 83-64 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders at United Spirit Arena.

Denis Clemente and Jamar Samuels scored 14 points apiece for Kansas State (23-4, 10-3 Big 12), which has won six straight games. Curtis Kelly added 12 points in the victory.

John Roberson posted 15 points for the Red Raiders (16-11, 4-9), who have dropped four straight and six of their last eight games overall. Nick Okorie scored 13 points in the losing effort.

Midway through the first half, a jumper by David Tairu cut the Texas Tech deficit to 21-16, and over three minutes later, the Red Raiders stayed close when a pair of free throws by Darko Cohadarevic brought the hosts within two, 27-25.

Kansas State, though, scored the next eight points, including a bucket from Samuels and a layup by Pullen, and eventually took a 39-29 lead to intermission.

The Wildcats' lead remained in the double-digit area throughout the second half. A Dominique Sutton jumper created a 54-40 KSU lead with over 10 minutes to play, and Pullen's three-pointer with 8:20 remaining in regulation put the visitors ahead by a 62-49 score.

Samuels' layup with under five minutes on the clock pushed the lead to 72-58 before his triple with 2:55 remaining sealed the victory.
