The Spurs stayed alive in this series winning Game 5 in dramatic fashion when
rookie Gary Neal hit a game tying 3-pointer at the buzzer to force OT. San
Antonio dominated the extra period against the deflated Grizzlies, who need to
regroup to try to close out the series in their house on Friday night. With their
Game 5 win the Spurs avoided being eliminated in the playoffs on their home
floor for the 3rd straight season.

Memphis played well in Game 5 shooting 47.1% from the floor and they won
the battle of the boards 50-45, but they could not stop the Spurs from making 2
clutch shots at the end of regulation and their offense struggled in OT.

San Antonio won Game 5 110-103 in OT with the Grizzlies covering the spread
and the total going Over.

This season the Spurs are 44-40-3 ATS and the Grizzlies are 56-29-2 ATS.
Memphis has covered the spread in every game in this series and they have an
ATS record of 9-1-1 in their last 11 games against San Antonio.

The key players for the Spurs really stepped up in Game 5 with Manu Ginobili
scoring 33 points and hitting 4/9 of his 3-pointers, Tony Parker scoring 24, and
Tim Duncan scoring 13 with 12 rebounds. These guys have to play well again
for the Spurs to force a Game 7 back in San Antonio. For the game the Spurs
shot the rock well going 45.9% from the field and they shot a decent 3-pt FG% of
31.8%.

Ginobili had struggled a tad in the series before going 10/18 from the field in
Game 6 and when he scores the Spurs win and they are 8-0 in the playoffs when
he scores at least 30 points.

In Game 5 Zach Randolph played well scoring 26 points, 18 in the 4th quarter and
OT, and while his frontcourt mate of Marc Gasol had 11 points and 17 rebounds
he was only 5/14 from the floor. The G duo of Sam Young and Mike Conley
scored a combined 38 points in Game 5 and while the Grizzlies had a good
offensive game they need a better Game 6 from the bench duo of Shane Battier
and O.J. Mayo, who only combined for 15 points.

San Antonio played a physical game in Game 5 and they will look to do the same
in Game 6.
