The Hawks won Game 4 to knot this series at a game apiece, but since the Bulls beat the Hawks in Atlanta in Game 3 they took back home court advantage. Still, the Hawks won Game 1 in Chicago so they know how to win in the Windy City. In Game 4 the Hawks got back to sharing the rock and using a well-balanced offense to win with 4 starters scoring in double figures and they also played great D holding the Bulls to 41% from the floor.

Derrick Rose was the high scorer in Game 4 with 34 points, but he was only 12/32 from the field. The Bulls must get back to playing good defense since they are not a high scoring team.

In Game 4 the Hawks won 100-88 and the covered the spread with the posted total going Over.

This season the Bulls are 53-36-2 ATS and the Hawks are 44-48 ATS.

The 4 starters for the Hawks of Josh Smith, Al Horford, Joe Johnson, and Jeff Teague, combined to score 79 points in Game 4 and Smith was the only starter who did not shoot at least 50% from the floor. Overall the Hawks shot 49.4% from the field and they had great ball movement with 23 assists.

After scoring 44 points in Game 3 Rose was constantly double-teamed in Game 4 and even triple teamed at times and that will likely happen again in this game so Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng have to step up and help out on offense. The Bulls also have to get back to shooting the rock well from deep, as in Game 4 they were only 3/16 on 3-pointers and sharp-shooting reserve Kyle Korver missed all 5 of his 3-pointers.

The Hawks must play well on the glass again to win, as in Game 4 they were only out-rebounded by 1. If the Bulls dominate the glass they will win Game 5.

The Bulls’ defense must keep the Hawks from getting in the paint and make them shoot the outside J. In Game 4 the Hawks scored 56 points in the paint.

Rose must share the ball more in Game 5, as in Game 5 he only shot a FG% of 31.8% (7/22) when he did not pass the ball after getting past half court and he just looked to score himself. When he did pass the rock and got it back he shot a FG% of 50%.
