Are the Thunder toast in this series? The Thunder never trailed in regulation in Game 4 and they had a 15-point lead in the 4th quarter and ended up losing in OT. The Thunder must get back to attacking the rim and not turning the ball over if they are going to win Game 5 in the Big D. In Game 4 they settled for jump shots after James Harden fouled out and for the game they committed 25 turnovers with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combining for 15 of them.

Durant had 29 points on 9/22 shooting, but he only took one 3-pointer in the beginning of OT and did not attempt another shot until the end of extra time. He has to be more involved in the clutch and in an interesting fact he and Westbrook are now 0/5 in game tying or game winning FG situations in the playoffs.

In Game 4 Dallas beat Oklahoma 112-105 in OT and the Mavs covered the spread with the posted total going Over.

This season Dallas is 56-37-3 ATS and Oklahoma City is 50-46-2 ATS. The Thunder are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against the Mavs.

Westbrook continues to struggle in this series and in Game 4 he scored 19 points on 7/22 shooting. If he does not find his shot the Thunder will not win this game or the series. The Thunder came out on fire in the game and surged to a big lead, but they could not hold it and they only hit on 2/13 of their 3-point FG attempts.

Dirk Nowitzki was the main reason the Mavs came back and for the game he was 12/20 from the floor and 14/15 from the free throw line in scoring 40 points. Jason Terry was only 7/22 from the floor, but he scored 20 points and Jason Kidd chimed in for 17.

Even though the Thunder killed the Mavs on the boards 55-33 they could not hold the late lead and turnovers and cold shooting the 4th quarter killed them. The Mavs have to forget about the loss and get back to playing good transition basketball or they will be done in this series.

Game 4 was the largest rebounding advantage by a losing team since the 1986 playoffs and the first playoff game in 15 seasons where the losing team led by 15 points in the 4th quarter and lost.

Betting Trends

The Thunder are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 road games and they have an Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 games.

The Mavs have covered the spread in 9 of their last 10 home games and have an Over record of 4-0 in their last 4 home games.
