Washington (6-2) is eligible for a bowl for the 2nd straight season and while they
are coming off a solid win against Arizona they are big betting home underdogs
facing Oregon (7-1). The Huskies have lost badly to both ranked teams they
have played this season and the only time they have played a solid team that can
run the ball in Stanford they gave up over 440 rushing yards. That is not good
at all since Oregon ranks 4th in the nation in rushing yards per game and RB
LaMichael James has had another week to get healthy.

Oregon is not only a big favorite, but also last season they crushed Washington
53-16 racking up 279 rushing yards. Still, they cannot overlook a Huskies’ team
looking forward to next week’s HUGE game facing Stanford since UW has a
great offense and is at home.

In their last games Oregon beat Washington State 43-28 and Washington beat
42-31.

This season the Ducks are 4-3-1 ATS and have an O/U record of 5-3 and the
Huskies are 6-2 ATS and have an O/U record of 5-2-1.

2 key guys that must play well for the Huskies to have any chance to win are
QB Kevin Price and RB Chris Polk. Price did have 277 passing yards with 1 TD
against Arizona last week, but he was picked off 3 times and he must avoid the
turnover in this game. Last week Polk had a big game becoming the first ever
UW player that had 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards in the same game. On
top of that he scored 4 rushing TD and 1 receiving TD.

Oregon’s defense did not play great last week and they rank 65th defending the
run and 83rd defending the pass. The Huskies’ offensive line must give Price time
to find his targets and on the season the Ducks rank 14th in the nation with 23
sacks.

There was a little bit of a QB controversy in the beginning of this week since
Darron Thomas was pulled after the first half if the WSU game for Bryan Bennett,
but Thomas will likely get the start under center for this game. Even though
the Huskies only rank 117th in the nation defending the pass their main issue
is defending the run. James’ injury has not stopped the Ducks from killing it on
the ground game with backup Kenjon Barner rushing for 100+ yards in the last
3 Oregon games. If the Huskies cannot contain the run their offense will have to

score a ton of points for them to pull off the home upset.

In some betting trends for this big Pac 12 match up the Ducks are 3-1-1 ATS in
their last 5 games as a favorite and they have an Under record of 4-1 in their last
5 games as a road favorite of 10.5 points or more.

The Huskies are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home
games, and has an Over record of 3-1-1 in their last 5 home games.
