The Giants (6-4) looked like THE team to beat a few weeks, back, but they have
lost their last 2 games with QB Eli Manning really struggling. However, they are
coming off a bye so maybe that week is what the G-Men needed to right their
ship. In 2 games, including a playoff game, last season Manning passed for
nearly 680 yards against the packers with 6 TD’s.

The Packers (7-3) have won 5 straight games and Aaron Rodgers has played
well and the defense has been getting it done. Last season at Green Bay the
Giants knocked the Packers out of the playoffs, so there may be a little revenge
in mind for the away team.

In their last games the Packers played a close game against the Lions, but still
beat Detroit 24-20 while the Giants struggled on both sides of the ball in their 31-
13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

For the season the Packers are at 5-5 ATS and they have an O/U record of 6-4
and the Giants are at 4-5-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 3-7.

Aaron Rodgers has played well in the Packers’ winning streak and he has the top
QB rating in the league and has the 2nd most TD passes. He has some banged
up targets, but Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb have been playing well and these
guys may play well again since the New York pass defense only ranks 25th in the
NFL. In the loss to the Bengals the Giants only gave up 199 passing yards, but
they did give up 4 passing TD’s.

James Starks has taken over for the ineffective Alex Green as the lead RB for
the Packers and in the win over Detroit last week he rushed for 74 yards, but only
averaged 3 yards per carry. The New York run defense held Cincy to under 80
rushing yards a couple of weeks back and overall their run D ranks 15th in the
league.

In the Cincinnati game the Giants’ pass rush did not have a sack and if they
cannot put pressure on Rodgers their secondary may be in a for a long game.

After the first few games Manning was a legit MVP candidate, but he has not
played well in the last few games. He has not thrown a TD in his last 3 games,
as opposed to 4 INT, and in the last 3 games he has only passed for over 200
yards 1 time. Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are solid young receivers and the

Green Bay pass D has not played great this season ranking 21st in the league.
However, the Packers’ pass rush has been great ranking 2nd in the NFL in sacks.

Manning may have to do it all in this game for the Giants on offense, as Ahmad
Bradshaw has not run the ball well in the last few games and on top of that he
is a little banged up. The Packers rank 11th in the league defending the run and
while that is solid their pass D is key in this game.
